The restaurants run by Gero Winiarski and Erwin Leitner are well known for their cultivation of authentic food and genuine Bavarian atmosphere. With their latest venture, the celebrated chefs are returning to their culinary roots: the lake town of Schliersee in Upper Bavaria. Set to open its doors in late 2009, Leitner and Winiarski’s restaurant in the picturesque former station building will include a large terrace and a delicatessen shop. The Schliersee station building is currently being restored to its former glory with painstaking attention to detail.
